Gransfors Bruk Small Splitting Axe

This small splitting axe thin blade at the bit and a concave shape allows it to easily penetrate the wood while the broader section splits the wood apart. Great for splitting medium size firewood. (Splitting Axes should not be used for striking a wedge or as a wedge. Only the Splitting Maul is designed for this.)

Hand-forged of high carbon Swedish steel and fitted with an American Hickory handle with protective steel collar. Vegetable-tanned leather sheath included.
